Rated 5 out of 5 by from 12v power port side horn mounting installed the aux. power port today 11/03/2017. easy install on my 2011 flstn. nice looking on the bike, wires were plenty long enough (no issues as in other posts)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits 1200T perfectly Several reviews have mentioned the wires being too short. This is probably the case for the larger bikes. I have a 2014 Sportster Superlow, XL1200T & the wiring was EXACTLY the right length. 5 minute install & works great for charging my iPhone, iPad, Kindle, etc. I use a dual USB unit I picked up from Amazon. It's nice knowing you can charge your electronics when needed. Two thumbs up!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Quality needs longer wire Good fit and barely noticeable, it works very well. However for my 08' FXDC the connection wire was about 6 inches too short if you want to hide the wires. Easy fix with the correct tools.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Will Not Work With FXDB Street Bob Bought this Aux power unit for my FXDB Street Bob. While I love where this unit mounts and how rugged the little thing is, I hate that the engineers at HD didn't design the unit with enough wire to complete the installation. Therefore, it gets two stars. Even though the fitment chart says this unit will work with my Street Bob the simple answer is no...and I doubt it will work with any bike larger than a Dyna...so pretty much nothing. The Aux unit comes with about a foot and a half of electrical wire for a job that requires at LEAST two feet. Ideally, in order to hide the unit's wires from the rest of the world and to reduce strain on the units wires you would have to route the wire 90 degrees away from the unit, under the engine bracket connected to the rear cylinder, and up to spine of the bike to meet up with the wiring harness. From there the installation is a cinch by just following the wiring harness under the seat where all the electrical goodies lie and then running the wires to the battery box. HOWEVER, that is not how the situation will play out with this kit. Instead of trying to make your way to the main wiring harness under the tank you will need to make a beeline immediately to where the wiring harness goes under the seat and hope that you have enough wire left to connect to the battery terminals. Hint: You will not. This creates an enormous strain on the units wires, and it leaves an ugly bundle of wire going across the spark plug wires as well as the cylinder. With all the vibrating my bike does, this thing will short out in a year from all the rubbing and tugging that will be going on. And on top of it all...it looks terrible! Since I don't want to spend spend more money on the wire and connectors needed to add extensions onto the unit I am sending it back. For the price I paid for this, it should come with the correct length of wire.

    Q & A

    Is EFI really required?

The fitment tab says "Fits EFI equipped models equipped with a side-mount horn (except XG models)" BUT in the list of compatible models, there are many models listed which DO NOT have EFI, like my bike - 2001 FXST - for example. Is EFI really required or will this work on the non-EFI bikes in the fitment list?
    Asked by: mikeym
Hey mikeym, Thanks for your question. This Auxiliary Power Port will only work on EFI equipped models. It will not fit your 2001 FXST (unless you have the EFI option). We had some incorrect bikes showing up in the fitment tab. We've updated the bike list and the changes will publish soon. My apologies for the inconvenience!

Will it work as a cigarette lighter?

Will this product actually work as a cigarette lighter? If a normal vehicle cigarette lighter insert is pushed into it, will it heat it up as a vehicle would?
    Asked by: EODGary
Hi EODGary, We do not suggest using an item that is manufactured for a vehicle other than a motorcycle. In addition, H-D does not approve of modifications. Please contact a local H-D dealership regarding your situation. Thanks!

Auxiliary Power Port Horn Bracket Interference?

Will this 12v port interfere with the fuel line plug-in coupling connector underneath my 2015 FL 6-gallon gas tank?
    Asked by: 0pini0nated
I answered my own question. I bought one and installed it! There's 3/16" clearance between the plastic housing and the gas tank fuel injector knurled release sleeve.
