Auxiliary Power Switch Kit - Fairing Mount is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple Installation As the title says simple installation, but for the cost, it could have come with a few different buttons to indicate various connections instead of have two that say "AUX". Also, there are three buttons on each side of the control panel but this came with only two, Why?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Owner Switch arrived in good order and on time. Wiring harness doesn't mate up to anything on my bike. Existing wiring mated right up to the switch. I couldn't locate any sockets that the switches controlled. Ended up having to tap into the wires coming directly out of the switches to make my passing lights work properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This kit is a simple plug and play addition! I installed PASSING lights on my 2015 SGS and purchased this kit because it came with the switch housing and the wiring harness. I wanted to use the factory switch housing to access the driving light circuit and this kit also allowed me to install two auxiliary circuits, for later use, at the same time. This is an AUXILIARY wiring kit! Use it to add heated grips, heated seat, etc like it says. If you want to add fairing mounted driving lights, you will also need to order the light switch button HD P/N 71400044 separately and install it into the switch housing (very easy for a novice even). The switch housing is configurable so don't be afraid to open it up via the four tabs on the housing, you have to to add the light button. No springs or parts will come flying out! This picture shows two buttons out of the switch housing but mine arrived already assembled. The dash housing can be easily removed to take out the factory blank and install the switch housing without taking out the ignition switch. I just did it. My bike is already pre-wired for a driving light circuit so I ordered the addition light button, installed it into the switch housing, plugged in the factory harness and I'm off to the races. It was that simple, literally took 30 or so minutes, and a novice can easily do this install given some more time. I also have two accessory circuits now ready to go. The price might seem steep but for all you get from this kit and the ease of install I personally think it was worth the few extra bucks to do the job correctly and add a couple extra circuits. I highly recommend this kit if you want to add extra circuits.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great and functional, but... Wanted to add the auxiliary switch to control my aftermarket crash guard lighting. The switches look great and operate as desired. My only issue is that for this price, why wouldn't it come with all 3 switches? It only comes with 2 and one dummy. Both are labeled AUX. Asked my parts counter and you can purchase a 3rd "Lighting" switch for $17. Anyway, I needed/wanted them, so paid the price, but feel it a bit of an unnecessary money grab.

    Q & A

    Milwaukee Eight

What is it about this kit that makes it incompatible with Milwaukee Eight models? The fairing switch blanks appear to be the same, so why won't this work?

    The Blanks

I have a 16 FLTRXS and it seems that the wiring harness for the switch housing is already in place. If that's the case can I just insert the the switches and be good to go?

    Difference

What is the difference between 71400105 71400106
    Asked by: Pablo1954
Hi Pablo1954, We seem to have some incorrect information on the website for these parts. 71400106 fits '14-later Electra Glide, Ultra Limited, Road Glide Ultra and Tri Glide models. Please see the image below which breakdowns each kit and their individual parts.

    Switch removal

Looks like a person could just remove the two screws holding the switch housing to the fairing cover without removing the ignition switch as mentioned in the instructions, thoughts?
    Asked by: fireguy102
I installed this today on my 2014 FLHTK. Remove the 2 screws holding the panel in place. The panel will come loose. Manuver the panel so you can release the 2 wire connectors from the panel. I am not sure what the right side wires are for, the just sit in the holder connected to nothing. The left side is the wiring for the passing lamps. After I got the panel free, I used a Torx to remove the 2 screws holding the switch panel in place. Follow the directions to remove the 2 blanks and pop in the new switches. Pretty easy to install. I figured an hour or so, but it only took 10 minutes.

    Switch Type

What type of switches are these - Momentary or Push On/Off? Can the switches be purchased separately?
    Asked by: TwistedRider
Hello TwistedRider, These are an on/off switch and are available separately. They are PN 71400109 and available through your local dealer. Thank You!
