Boom! Half Helmet Music & Communications Headset is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money Tops of ears so sore after 10 min that wife and I had to remove our half helmets. Still VERY uncomfortable. Returned them after a very quick ride. Needs one continuous cord with a standard jack plug like my Bose home headset or my D/C aviation headsets that I have had for 12 yrs without complaint. Both headsets had problems at this mid connection. Not consistent with Project Rushmore since it requires both hands to open the cover and carefully align the pins at the tank. Major VOX problems that could not be remedied at any setting. Sad and pathetic design considering the aforementioned decades old tried and true designs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wait for a better option I resently purchased two of these units so my wife & I could talk while riding. First the riders plug in is very temperamental and once I got that to work the mic was constantly turning on & off due to the wind. This was with a lower windshield so I reinstalled the stock windshield and went for a ride, nothing has changed at all. I ride with 3/4 or half helmets here in Florida and am very disappointed with this product, the communication feature was one of the selling points that lead me to purchasing my CVO Limited. I reccomend leaving this item on the shelf!! Theirs better items that are worth the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from wind noise If you turn the Vox up enough to hear your passenger the wind noise is terrible. For what they cost they should work better than the 38 dollar set i bought on Ebay but they are worse.. I returned them...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I ride a 2014 Ultra Limited and this product works great, no wind noise when speaking, speakers are clean/clear when riding and when properly positioned/worn. I highly recommend this product.

    Q & A

i have a 2016 cvo street glide special. i'm using the j04931 1/2 helmet headset. my phone is paired to the bluetooth on the audio boom box. will i be

able to receive phone calls thru the headset and can I communicate with other riders (other bikes) using the same type of headset or other riders using hands free( non Harley) Bluetooth devices?
    Asked by: LFONT
Hi LFONT, The Boom! Half Helmet Music & Communications Headset will ONLY allow for the rider and passenger to have access to music, navigation, and voice communication features of the motorcycle. However, you can communicate Bike-to-Bike as long as the other bike has communication equipment; in addition to, the intercom system. If the other bike has just the intercom system--you will not be able to communicate with that particular bike.

I have more of a request. The foam covers on the speakers are very flimsy. They tear easily and do not stay on the speaker. Please offer replacement

Please provide replacement covers for this item. It is not comfortable wearing this unit without them. Also I would suggest an upgrade of the plastic bridge that goes on the back of the neck. It snaps in half easily.

Where do I find the software to download to use with this headset? I purchased it to use with my 2005 Harley ultra Classic Electra Glide.

    Asked by: Blackberry
All you do is plug it into the audio socket just behind your gas tank fuel door. There is no software needed because it is all electrical/mechanical. However, since you asked, did you set the radio rocker switch on the dash to send the music to the headset? The rocker switch is just to the left of the off/on switch. Rocker switch positions, all the way forward, everything goes to the faring speakers, middle position, radio got to the faring speakers and the CB goes to the headset, rocker switch to the full rear sends both the radio and CB to the headset, with nothing going to the speakers. If riding alone, I send everything to the headset. When riding with my wife, I only send the CB to the headset so she can hear the radio.
