Cigarette Lighter and Socket Kit is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cigarette lighter I had this installed along with some other accessories at the dealership. I would have given it a 5-star rating but the knob is too small for us with hammy fingers. Please HD could you make the knob a wee bit larger with maybe some flat surfaces on it in order to give us a better grip on the lighter?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works just like it's supposed to First, toss the instructions. There's no reason to confuse yourself. Simply remove the outer fairing as the manual describes; unplug and unscrew the power outlet and remove it; replace the power outlet with the lighter socket kit; plug the power outlet wire into the lighter socket and replace the outer fairing. Took all of twenty minutes on my 2016 FLTRXS.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Instructions Are Wrong 90% of the instructions are incorrect. They say to remove the inner right side speaker housing, and cut the wires to the existing accessory outlet. This is incorrect, and not advisable. Those steps are not needed. Total time to install this item was 15 minutes without removing the speaker housing, nor cutting any wires.

Why is the cig. lighter not intended to be used as an acc. power outlet on my 2012 FLHTK? How's it different than the power outlet in the tour pak?

What kind of damage could I expect if I was to use it as an accessory power outlet?
    Asked by: John5050

Why a power overload after installing?

I installed this kit on my 2015 Ultra Limited. Upon inserting the lighter power is stopped to the outlet. Is this a sign of a defective part? After turning off bike with power switch and turning back on, power to kit is restored until the lighter is inserted again. If not a defective part, then drawing too much power will disengage power to accessories until main power switch is turned off and back on. Is there anyway to reprogram the overload system to accommodate this cigarette lighter?

Will it fit 2008 Streetglide? If not what part # does?

    Asked by: Dillonba
Hello, This kit is made for '14-later Street Glides, so unfortunately it will not fit your 2008 Street Glide. There isn't another kit for your bike that is similar. Hope this helps!
