Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cruise Control This cruise control is easy mod to add to your Harley. If your hands fall asleep or you do long trips it is a real help. It looks better than the cheesy manual lockouts you can buy. Save yourself some money & install yourself. You will need to take your bike in to a dealer to get a software download to enable the cruise control. It costs $50 to have it downloaded.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must have! This cruise control is awesome. I love being able to put it in and out of cruise so quick and easy. It's a world a difference from my old throttle lock. What I didn't like is it should come standard and if it's not going to standard it shouldn't need to go to the dealer and cost more then the part just to turn on. I installed it in two hours no problem only to find it didn't work and I had to take it to the dealer to activate it. That had the bike sitting in the parking lot for 2 hours then when they finally pulled it in it took 10 minutes and cost my over $300 that's outrageous.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product, Hidden Cost I bought this for my 2016 Breakout. The install was time consuming since the connectors are on the frame underneath the tank, which had to be slide back. It looks as I expected for a part from Harley. It looks great and factory. The only complaint I have is that I had to take my bike to Harley for the to enable cruise function on the ECM (which I know it says in the description) but it doesn't say it cost another $125. I was pretty irritated that I wasn't informed of the additional cost when purchased. This went from a $250 cruise to nearly $400.

    Q & A

    2016 Breakout Cruise Control

I want to know if the cruise control for a Harley Breakout 2016 is available in chrome finish as well as black Thanks David

    ECM Programming

Is there a tool I can buy to turn this on in the ECM by myself? I was already going to buy the tuner on the site here. But I am not sure if that gives you access to turn this on. I would rather buy the stuff to do all of the work, including the ECM myself. It's great having a dealer that can do stuff and all. but I really like to know the ins and outs of my own bike, without having to be dependent on someone else.

    Programming to enable cruise control

I bought this for my 2016 Breakout. In the description it states the dealer will enable cruise control on the ECM. I went to two different dealers and they wanted to charge me $125! This is misleading and should state that there is an additional $125 charge to have the dealer enable the cruise control function in the computer.

Hey FireBadger569, In this case we wouldn't be able to include this information because we're unable to quote labor costs. All of our dealers are independently owned and their labor fees are solely up to their discretion. Thanks! Rockstar883
