It is possible to overload your motorcycle's charging system by adding too many electrical accessories. If your combined electrical accessories operating at any one time consume more electrical current than your vehicle's charging system can product, the electrical consumption can discharge the battery and cause vehicle electrical system damage. Ask your dealer for advice about the amount of current consumed by additional electrical accessories.

Deluxe Auxiliary Lighting Kit is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some good, some bad The Good: - Beautiful light bar, classic looks, makes the front of the Fat Boy look great. When you finally get the lights aimed right, good coverage on dark country roads. The Bad: - Cheap construction for the auxiliary light housing. If I was 12 years old and built this, I'd be proud of myself. But not on a $20,000 motorcycle! And not when a tiny sliver of metal is keeping LED lights that cost hundreds of dollars from popping out next time you hit a bump in the road. There's barely room to fit the adapters and connectors inside the housing, but once you cram them in there, it takes two hands to hold the assembly together while you tighten the screw with a third hand. If you're a tiny bit off, it all comes apart. If you tighten the screw a tiny bit too much, it goes through the cheap housing and you have to start over. Once you finally get everything barely holding together, you realize the lights are aimed too high or two low. So you have to take it apart again. If you tightened the large screw inside the housing to the right torque, you can move the lights side to side, but to tilt them up or down, you have to start over. - Instructions are incomplete. Somebody either wrote them in a rush, or didn't really care about what they were writing. Several important steps and diagrams are left out, and references to illustrations and part numbers are wrong. I prefer to do my own work on a Harley, but have your dealer install the lights in this light bar. That way you won't realize how cheaply it's made and how dangerously close you are to losing your expensive LED's next time you hit a bump. I don't regret buying the bar because I like how it looks on my Fat Boy and I like how the LEDs function in them. I just wished Harley would update its housings to account for the more expensive LED lamps they contain, make it easier to adjust the height of the lights, and provide instructions that are as reliable as on their other accessories and service manuals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from deluxe light bar Love the look and it got the turn signals off the handlebars which I never liked. It was much easier to install than I expected( just follow the instructions, step by step) It just took a long time. (about 4 1/2 hours). I did have to customize the mounting bolts for my detatchable winshield but it was worth it!
