Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made This is a well made product. However, you need Loc-tight when you install it to keep the bolts from vibrating loose and it doesn't tell you that ahead of time. IMO, it should come with Loc-Tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from detachable backrest bracket I wanted a stationary bracket because I thought it would be a little cheaper, but I couldn't believe how fast and easy this one was to just slide into pace. The chrome is awesome and it looks great.

What sissy bars fit these sideplates? I bought these for my 2011 xl1200n and assumed the sissy bar for the fixed plates would fit. I was wrong.

Which docking hardware is required for these sideplates (with no saddlebags)for '15 Sportster XL1200C?

The docking hardware matrix does not mention these sideplates specifically. The parts guy at my HD dealer agreed that, per the matrix, you don't know if you should get the 53529-04 or the 53544-04 docking hardware.
    Asked by: LAD0670
Hi Lado670, According to the matrix, if you do not have saddlebags, you would need Docking Hardware Kit P/N 53529-04. Thank you for your question.

Is my 2007 1200c the only one that doesn't seem to fit?

My rear turn signals seam too far back and the mount plates don't line up to where the mounting hardware is needed. Do the rear signals need to be moved? I don't see anything about this in the install directions . I haven't installed the mounting hardware since the side plates do not appear to line up...
    Asked by: Jflatz
Hi Jflatz, From the pictures, it appears that someone has installed an Aftermarket Turn Signal Relocation Kit on your rear turn signals, pushing the turn signals back further than stock, and preventing the side plates from lining up with the docking hardware. Please contact your local dealership for assistance converting your rear turn signals back to stock. Thank you for your question.

Does the 51513-02 sissy bar fit these sideplates?

    Asked by: Bobster
Hey Bobster, No, that setup will not work together. With the products you picked, I assume you have a 04+ XL model. If you want to have detachable side plates, the proper short rail sissy bar you need is 52737-94A.
