Directional Relocation Kit is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed in lack of detail on instructions I wish I knew this stupid kit was necessary to have a normal sissy bar on a FXDWG. My God man, Wide Glides are inspired by choppers which traditionally have sissy bars higher than 4 inches. It requires soldering, electrical know how to successfully do this. I suppose I am too dumb to figure it out and too afraid to screw it up so my kit just sits in my garage until I can find a video watching someone else install this thing or pony up the $300 to $400 in labor costs for some mechanic to do it. If HD is going to build bikes that pretty much require mods, I would appreciate if it was simple enough and the instruction detailed enough for a simple person like me to do it. I have install many extras on my bike that require turning a screwdriver or ratchet but this is a pain. Buyer's remorse for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit I needed this part to install the sissy bar on my fxdb. It was a simple install but I didn't splice the wires like instructions say to. I also needed the license plate relocation kit that comes with new wires that you install thru turn signal socket

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality. I was greatly dissatisfied with the poor quality of the parts in this kit. I find the design to be less than satisfactory as well. Parts are not made large enough to fit the wiring which frays easily. One of the bolts provided in this kit also broke before I could tighten it. If you don't tighten it properly the tailights will vibrate loose. Very poor craftsmanship and design here. If you buy this kit be prepared for a frustrating experience and be very careful as the parts are extremely delicate. I will look to go aftermarket for my next modification.

    Q & A

the stalk, turn signal (68664-06A) broke can I buy a replacement with out buying a whole kit

    Asked by: Edvacco

Will this kit extend the rear blinkers out so that saddlebags will fit properly?

Had a set of saddlebags already and the rear signals seem to prevent the bags from fitting properly. The signals need to either go out to the side further or be pushed back some for them to fit.

What would be the alternative for FXDB HDI?

I have the Brazilian model and this doesn't fit. I'm looking for the detachable sissy bar.
    Asked by: Ciro
Hi Ciro, 2013-later FXDB HDI/India models require the separate purchase of Docking Hardware and Relocation Kit P/N 68900499. Thank you for you question.

Is this required for the 2009 Street Bob when installing the detachable back rest, part number 52300046?

It does not state that it is a required and sold seperately item in the backrest sissy bar description. only state docking hardware package.
    Asked by: JohnD68
Hi JohnD68, Yes, Directional Relocation Kit (P/N 53968-06C) is required in addition to the docking hardware, when installing a detachable backrest on a 2009 FXDB without P&A saddlebags. To find this information, click on the Dyna Docking Hardware Matrix link, under the "More Info" tab. Thank you for your question.
