H-D AGM Original Equipment Battery is rated 2.1 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from still going strong hi I have had this same battery in my 05 low rider for the past 14 yrs and it just now stopped holding a charge , I put the bike up in the shed for the winter and on a battery charge for the winter . October - march then start riding in the spring again .I would say I defiantly got my money worth out of the battery , I really don't see any problems and don't understand why the low score for a great battery , I will be purchasing another battery in the spring to start riding season again . maybe some people just don't care of there investment like I do ! Rated 1 out of 5 by from Seven months after purchase the battery stopped charging. I purchased a Harley Davidson battery for my motorcycle on April 29, 2017. I kept it on a battery tender. Recently the tender stayed on charging mode. I tried 2 other slow chargers. The battery would not stop charging. I took the battery out of the bike when using the other 2 chargers. The voltage is 12.8 and the chargers put out over 13 volts. I had the battery tested at the HD dealership where I purchased it. I had to leave it there. The equipment to do the testing takes several hours. The next day at the dealership I was told the battery was fine. The cold cranking amperage exceeded the battery's rating. I brought a battery tender in and showed that parts employee the battery would not fully charge. The parts employee could not give me an explanation. I am now stuck with a defective battery that that dealership states it is fine. I reported this to Harley Davidson customer service. It was a waste of time!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from kaplunk Less than three years. For the money it should at least last. Higher CCA with aftermarket, at lower cost.

      Q & A

Does anyone know if there is a removable back pad to mount on a Breakout with just the stock solo seat?

A bracket with 2 holes to screw down with the stock bolts at the rear of the seat.
      Asked by: RichOD
H-D doesn't make one. I got one from MATT on HD Forums. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/softail-parts/1190860-breakout-buttstop-150-a.html

Are the batteries 12 volt or 6 volt systems?

Can you charge these batteries with a 12 volt charger on low amps.. or do you have to use a 6 volt charger..?

Higher crank amp HD battery for my 2011 FatBoy?

I see the stock battery has 280 CCA, but I start my 96B engine a lot after sitting a few days in a windy COLD 30-40 degree Fahr. open air garage. Engine hard to crank due sticky cold clutch and engine, even tough in Neutral. Need a more powerful cranker with extra reserve. Many times my "good" stock battery ALMOST starts her, but then dies. Does HD make a 320 or higher cca Glass-Mat batt that fits my 2011 Fatboy?
      Asked by: BGFatBoy
Hey BGFatBoy, Our AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries have a 315 CCA. For your '11 FLSTF you'll need P/N 65989-97C.
