Hi-Vis Vest is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding I have an Icon safety vest that is thin and works but it’s that awful green color and really do I hate green! Thought I would spring for a Harley safety vest. With all the idiots driving around playing with there phone or radio I need every chance I can get cause you better believe they are not watching out for YOU! This vest has tons of reflectivity and it fits so well and is super adjustable to wear over large heavy winter coats or tighten it up and it fits right over a loose shirt. The best part is they give you a pouch in the rear for folding it up for storage or use it for small items to store while riding. I know Harley is usually pretty expensive stuff but folks this vest is worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be Seen When You Ride Since I bought this as a birthday gift for myself two years ago I never ride without it. It adjusts easily to fit over a shirt or my leather jacket. When lights hit the reflective material it is a blaze of pure white. Being seen while riding is a key part of a safe ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Be seen Better to be seen than not when the sun sets. I'd rather be alive than be a bad ass who got hit because I was too cool wearing my dark clothing. The materials used on this are top quality, as anyone who buys Harley gear knows. Folds up nice to throw in my swingarm bag for when I know I'll be out after dark. I usually say safety before style, but this is a great looking vest. Stop reading this and get yours.

    Q & A

    Replacement Badge Holder?

Where can I find a replacement badge holder for this vest?

DOES THIS VEST MEET CLASS 2 REQUIREMENTS 98172-08VM

    Asked by: Benj
A Class 2 vest must have at least 775 inches of safety yellow or safety orange back ground material and 201 square inches of reflective striping. I measured my vest and I came up with approximately 680" of orange, and approximately 205" of reflective material, I included the bar and shield which is also reflective. But the vest still looks damn good, and I don't think you'll be using it on a job site where OSHA's gonna tag you for it.

does the Harley Davidson HI-VIS Vest meet ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 high visibility safety classification

    Asked by: JD6460
That's a good question. I checked the tags on the vest, both the back of neck and the side, and I did not see any official classification markings. I attempted some research online at the 3M manufacturer site and a few sites describing the 107-2004 standard. Excerpt below. This question may be best answered by H-D Staff or 3M support. "Care Labeling, General Marking and Instructions for Use Once all materials have been tested against performance requirements and certificates of compliance from a third party testing laboratory have been issued, apparel manufacturers then assemble garments according to the design guidelines in Section 6 of the standard for the appropriate class of garment. Only after all the materials’ performance and design requirements have been met, can a garment be labeled ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 compliant. Garment labeling, general marking and instructions for use are described in Sections 10 to 12 of the standard."

    How does it pack?

I bought this for when I need to drive my bike on post, but where and how does it pack into itself for storage? The tag has no diagram, and the pockets seem unlikely places.
    Asked by: Rooster3D
I too found no clear means of instructions to packing the vest into its own pocket. What was noticeable is, mine was made in Bangladesh. Noone tried to demo it and place it on Youtube. However, it is self containing. I laid it on my lap zipped up the front and started rolling it from the bottom to about a litter longer that the pocket itself. Then I stuffed the center of the vest, then the ends inside pushing the mesh outside making it inside out. Close it with the Velcro, then zipping it closed. Its not easy and it will not fold neatly. As much as it should be worn, it’s not worth the stress to pack it into its own pouch.
