Mid-Frame Air Deflector is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Bad I installed these in about 30 minutes. As others have said, there is very little room to get the snap clips in, especially on the right side of the motor as the rear cylinder head is right there. However, it does help a lot to expand the clips with a screwdriver or pliers so there is a gap when you attempt to slide them onto the frame. I used pliers to hold the right one and get it started. The speed nuts are easy and once you get the screws started, your golden. Haven't had a chance to rid with these yet on my 2013 RKC but I'm sure they will assist in keeping the hot air off my "sensitive area"...:)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mid Air Deflectors Installation on 2014 FLHR was horrible. You've got to have the patience of Job. There is just not enough space to secure the product with the hardware that is sent. After going to locale hardware store, I got clips and bolts that worked. You've got to have small wrenches to secure to frame. For the price, it wasn't near as easy as it should have been. Quality hardware should be part of the package. If you can afford it, have dealer install them. It will save your hair. Deflectors did look good and worked as advertised after installation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Heat Deflectors I just installed a set of these on my girlfriends bike a few weeks ago and was so impressed with the design and ease of install that I got a set for my bike. They do a great job of deflecting the engine heat away from your legs while you are riding. They install very quickly. I might even see if I can get them painted to match my bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Surprisingly Well I have to say, I was a bit skeptical about these. But, after reading some reviews I decided to give them a try. I must say, they work. I am very pleasantly surprised by the product. They definitely help keep the heat from that rear cylinder off your leg. Just what I needed. They have a decent look to them, but the core is in functionality. They work.

    Q & A

Will these work with a Harley adjustable back rear?

I have a 2010 Road King with factory adjustable back rest. The adjuster looks like it will interfere with the left side deflecter.
    Asked by: TangSooDoMan
The adjuster location should be moved to the left air deflector. I added the back rest to my Triglide Ultra and during installation, my dealer put the adjuster on the left air deflector. I recommend you discuss this option with your HD service center.

Do the mid frame wind deflectors increase the temperature of the rear cylinder since they direct the airflow in?

I live in So Fla and my right leg gets a bit cooked. These mid frame deflectors were recommended to me but in blocking the heat from radiating it seems that it may be raising the temperature of the head of the rear cylinder. Frankly I'd rather cook my leg than my cylinder head which is already very hot.' Thanks
    Asked by: Wannaride14
Hi Wannaride14, Yes, unfortunately it will increase the temperature. Hope this helps!
