    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a big improvement in torque I took advantage of a promotional offer at my dealership to have this installed at a discounted price. I was a little disappointed because I saw a very marginal improvement in torque and throttle response. I'd still recommend it, because you get a slight engine lope/improvement in sound coming out the pipes. I can also hear my heavy breather A/C sucking air into the engine now. With just a Stage 1, I did not notice that sound. So each time I hear it now, I know this cam is keeping those valves open longer. Maybe not worth full price, but if you see a promotion at your dealer, go for it.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING FLAT LINE DYNO PULL FROM 2K TO 5K RPMs I purchased a new 2018 Street Glide Special in November of 2017. I put 1K miles on it in 3 weeks so I had a good foundation for the stock feel…both pre break-in and post break-in (500 miles below 3500 RPMs). The stock M8 107CI engine is fun to ride and has good response. However, the stock exhaust is excessively quiet for my daily city commuting and I definitely felt like there was a tremendous amount of power that was not being fully utilized with the stock setup. After consulting with Master Technician Adam Canuel from HD of Scottsdale (AZ), he strongly recommended the SE8-447 torque cam based on a recent upgrade to a 2018 Road King Special that he had finished. To say that I am happy with the upgrade might be the biggest understatement of the century. I have attached the dyno results from my bike to show exactly what I’m talking about. You get a straight-line dyno pull from 2K to 5K RPMs @ 100-105 (lb/ft). For those that haven’t driven the stock M8 107CI engines, there is a significant power drop off @ 3.5K RPMs and requires early down shifting to achieve the continued acceleration that feels the most normal during rapid acceleration. Once my upgrades were complete, I can sit back and let the bike pull all the way through 5K RPMs with no early downshifting required. I went with the D&D M8 Billet Cat 2:1 exhaust. It is loud as hell and just sounds BAD ASS. I wanted the look of the stock air intake, so I went with the M8 SE High Flow intake instead of the SE Heavy Breather. I’m 6’2” tall and weigh 260 lbs, so you can rest assured that larger riders will be just as pleased with the results as smaller riders will. Please note that I did not go with the Stage II upgrade kit, but instead went with the torque cam upgrade (+ required hardware) in order to keep the stock pushrods (see pic of the required additional hardware). As Adam pointed out to me, the Stage II kit requires cutting your stock pushrods and installing adjustable ones. Either you pay more for this kit, or you pay additional labor in order to keep your stock (non-adjustable) pushrods, which requires removing the top end of the engine. The cost difference is literally a few dollars. I preferred the peace of mind knowing that stock pushrods cannot malfunction like adjustable ones if they work themselves loose. If you want undeniable real-world results, go with the upgrades that I mentioned. If you are in AZ, head over to HD of Scottsdale and ask for Adam Canuel…you won’t be disappointed with his advice or his meticulous workmanship on your bike.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent power, Great sound I had this put on my new 2018 RGU before I picked it up so I would have it all covered under the original warranty. Power is decent, with a better tuner other than the SE it should gain a lot more power, but until that time, its fine. With this, it sounds like a Harley and I get a lot of "Sounds awesome" from the masses.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed I have read some reviews and asked around before I have decided to go ahead and do it. I am not really impressed with the performance per dollar. About 400 for the kit, 300 for the tuner, 12 hours of labor which seems greatly inflated. The final result? Barely any improvement felt over stage I. The bike feels like it's about to stall when idling, it vibrates at all RPMs considerably, it pops on decel and I feel I have wasted my hard earned money on this modification. I would not recommend it at all, unless you have money to waste. To each, his own. I am very disappointed with this Stage II Torque kit.

    Will installing this help make this sound more like a 2009 streetglide? I ride a 2017stg special with 4.5rcx slip ons (same set up i had on my 2009).

    Will this came improve the torque on FKHTKSE

    When would be the best time to install this on a new bike

    Any hesitation or flat spots going into 6th gear?

    I just had this installed/tuned at the dealer, and when I shift into 6th gear going 60-70 mph, there's a noticeable dead or flat spot. It'll noticeably hesitate for a moment before picking up. My tuner says that it's lugging, but I've noticed it at high rpm as well as mid rpm. This did not occur with the stock setup... have you experienced this? Or does someone have some input.

    I just did stage one with touque cam and V&H true duels and did a smart tune and runs smooth at all ranges and don't see any hesitation but never drove on highway until it was smart tuned hope this helps

    Do you have torque curves comparing the stock cam to this cam? How much does this cam change fuel consumption at highway speed?

    Hello PeteK57, Stock 107 TQ 90 at 4500 rpms rear wheel and the HP is 79 adding the componet makes it 105 TQ and 90 hp this is with HD componet and HD calibration as for MPG it will depend on throttle loads applied, weights, bucking head winds, hills, traffic at stop go... but will drop
