Quick-Release Super Sport Windshield is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy on/off I had one of these wind shields on my 03 Super Glide. I am 6' and this shield worked good keeping the bugs off. I never experienced the buffeting other reviewers mentioned. The best part is the easy on/off clamp system. I enjoyed the windshield and would recommend it to Dyna riders.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Touring Easy off and on and quick adjustment up or down. Great to have in the rain and to deflect those little stones and road debris. (Especially bugs on those all nighters.) As with all windscreens there is a compromise. The reduction of fatigue from wind pressure on the chest is offset by the buffeting around the sides. Bikers who wear glasses (even under a full helmet) may find their vision slightly blurred in a normal riding position. The pitch will match the rake of the forks. Some extra pitch in design might reduce this problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for the XL1200R Bought this hoping to keep the bugs and the rain off. That it does. Fit and quality and finish and ease of installation are all top notch. HOWEVER... the turbulance is the worst of any windscreen on any bike I've ever owned. Maybe its my height (5'10")? Maybe it works on bikes with different fork rake angles? Whatever it is, I literally cannot ride with it above 70km/h (45mph). I have tried the full range of height adjustments available. At highway speeds its like having your head in a paint-shaker, makes my vision all blurred and induces headaches. Far better ride with no shield on at all. I hope the dealership will let me exchange it; as a Motor-Company Genuine accessory at nearly $400 it should be better than this....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well, it's very well-made, but... Debatable if this has actually improved my wife's long-distance riding pleasure on her 72 Sporty - I had a go on the bike up to 120 kph and actually felt the turbulence was worse than without it (but I'm a lot taller than her). We had originally wanted a different screen - but this was the only one available at the time. Positives? It is very well made and only takes a moment to install or remove and doesn't look too big for the bike. Anyway, the wife thinks it is an improvement - and that's all that matters, hey! ;)

    Q & A

Love your quick release windshields, but they're too tall for me. Do you make any 17 inch tall shieds?

I have a 1200Low with a super reduced reach seat.

    windshield info

hi ive got a 2006 night train, the forks are not stock forks as far as I know, they are 50mm in diameter. Will part number 57199-05 fit onto them? thank you
    Asked by: christy
Hey Christy. Can't really validate a fitment for you on this one if you're running 50mm front forks. Stock forks on a FXSTB are 41mm and the windshield works for these. You may want to ride on over to your local dealer and have them measure your forks and see if there's is a way this windshield will work out for you.
