Rechargable Pager Receiver II is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rechargeable Pager Receiver from 37865, TN This unit works extremely well. The secret to long life is to keep the unit charged and ready for your next use. I have the charger plugged in all the time and keep 3 units (1 for each bike) on a clip board ready to take when I ride. If you keep it on your bike, it won't be ready when you are. I bought these units back in 2008 and they all still work great. One of the best products I have bought from HD. Don't lose the instruction book.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked great for about a year This pager system worked great for about a year. After that, it I was finding myself having to charge it more and more. Now, after about 2 years, it doesn't hold a charge at all. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't buy this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good until battery fails Great product with excellent range and functionality. However, even rechargeable batteries fail and this $3.00 battery is not replaceable without ordering from a third party in China and soldering it in. If you don't have electronic skills you pay $90.00 plus for a new pager for a dead $3.00 battery. Either battery replacement service or easily replaceable batteries ought to be available. When working it quickly charges and holds its charge for days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well I know this works, as I have tested it. I haven't really had any issues with thr battery, but so far it will last a week on a charge, but I suspect if will degrade over time. It is a nice piece of mind.

    Q & A

    Range indicator light

I was wondering about the range indicator light and how log does it flash. When I turn my bike off the power and range indicator lights flash and after an hour or so the range indicator light stops flashing but I still have the power light. Is it supposed to do this? I could never find any information in the manual about it but it is so dog gone small I can barely read it anyway. Thanks for any help on this.
    Asked by: jtrinkle
Hello Jtrinkle, The power light will stay on until you turn it off. To conserve battery life, it is recommended that the pager receiver be turned off when the system is disarmed. When in use, the pager receiver battery life is approximately 45-50 days. The pager receiver requires one CR2450 3V lithium battery (available at a Harley-Davidson dealer, Part Number 66378-06). Thank You!

    Where can I get instructions?

My son sold his H-D and gave me several of his MC stuff. One is the Rechargable pager receiver but doesn't remember how to program. Thanks for any help

Does this unit have a replaceable/serviceable battery?

    Has this item been discontinued?
    Asked by: stokcok
It does not have a replaceable battery. However... Mine died... refused to charge after 1.5 years. I ordered a battery on eBay for $2.99, it took 3 weeks to get here from China, $3 international shipping. First, the housing is snap together, no screws an almost impossible to get off. Second, the wires soldered to micro welds and any soldering iron over 29-25 watts will kill the circuit board. But... the big one... there is a speaker at the bottom of the housing that is soldered into the top of the circuit board I was unaware of and the solders broke. No magnifying glass has yet revealed where they were soldered. It could be a $5 repair to a $89 replacement but I have not found the manufacturer or schematic to determine where to fix the speaker wires. Easy to solder in a new battery to existing 3-inch long leads, VERY delicate disassembly of housing. If anyone knows who manufactures it I'd like to know.

No instructions in pdf for this item on your site

I am trying to program to my new bike and guess I traded the instruction book in with my old bike. Can you email me the pdf file to reprogram and operate this remote unit. Thanks Ward 2013 CVO 110th Ultra Classic

2007 and later models (hands free fob) 1)MC switch turned "off" 2)Ensure pager Receiver (rx) is off 3)Press and hold pager button D (on side of pager) 4)Pager rx will flash and vibrate to indicate it is on Continue to hold the button until the LEDs begin to flash sequentially and the rx beeps once every two seconds...rx is now ready to encode 5)Quickly turn MC switch to on and then off...within several seconds the rx will indicate it has been successfully encoded by beeping four times 6)Confirm pager rx has been successfully encoded by turning MC switch on, then off...[ager rx should flash RCS (simultaneous green LEDs or green and red LED if key FOB is not present.
