Replacement Windshield is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Windshield Love the benefits of a tall windshield 22 inch ,2 inches over my stock 20 inch shield on my 2010 Road King Classic. In my case very very little head Buffeting at high speeds . I was amazed that 2 inches taller would make that kind of difference in head Buffeting. Replaced my stock 20 inch windshield in about half an hour. ,I used a flat utility knife razor blade to get under chrome strips and slide blade gently to remove them from old windshield. Just read instructions and install is easy. Only one drawback, I don't like looking through the windshield instead of over it, sort of distorts images through my prescription sun glasses but I am getting used to it its nothing critical. I like this windshield on long fast speed I 95 trips, good rain and head protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tall windshield I needed a taller windshield for my Road King so I looked on the HD site and found a 22" model. I wanted a 20" model but couldn't find one. The 22" is a little too tall for me because I like looking over the windshield and not through it. When the windshield arrived, it was straight-up plexiglass, but had the mounting holes. Take your time disassembling the frame off old one. The plates are stainless but they are very thin, and if not handled properly, could get misshapen and then it is a bear to straighten out - that's if you can get it straightened. All in all, new windshield, not as much blow on the face or body #for us guys that don't like it#, and the looks are cool. On a side note, I may have it taken to a plastic cutter to take that 2" off the top. Caaarrrrefuully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No brainer this windshield has a very good quality, the holes are drilled to fit the frame. Installation of the frame was a little tedious as you have to remove the old tape from the frame kit but once that is done it is a straight forward procedure. Took me about 15 minutes for the whole installation. Can be performed by unexperienced riders :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement 2" over Clear Lexan Windshield The windshield has made my riding much more fun again. I commute to work on weekdays, except for days when it is raining in the morning. Appearance: Beautiful replacement Lexan windshield. The box was crushed a little, but the windshield was clear and not scratched. My old windshield was crazed from the sun and I was barely able to see through it. It made the bike look older than it is. (it is a 1994 FLHR) Function: I choose the 2” over replacement windshield by mistake and have found that the extra 2” relieves more of the wind buffeting I used to experience. Installation: it is a fairly straight forward swap of the Stainless hardware from the old shield to the new. The hard part was removing the old tape that was applied to the stainless. I used a razor blade and was able to remove all the old tape. I polished the brackets and loosely installed the brackets with the hardware and a bit of Locktite, then installed the windshield on the bike and tightened everything.

    Q & A

What is the part number for the metal quick release frame that fits this windshield?

After ordering and receiving this 22" windshield for my 2016 Road King, I am now interested in being able to switch back and forth between the stock 20" to the new 22" quickly without having to disassemble the stainless frame from the windshield each time. Please advise of the part number of just the frame that will fit my bike and this windshield. Thank you.
