Rated 5 out of 5 by from Read the fine print. I do recommend these supports. They would look & work great... had I read the fine print "before" I lost my mind trying to get to get them on. Then frustrated, I went back to the online store to confirm I ordered the correct ones. That's when I saw the statement under Fitment "Does not fit with H-D® Detachables™." Guess what I installed last year...Detachable backrest and luggage rack. So now I need to return these 8-{ The only real problem I had even if they would fit my bike was that the instructions did not warn about the tension release from the shocks. YES...I SHOULD HAVE REALIZED THIS MYSELF PRIOR TO REMOVING THE SHOCK ABSORBER STUDS. But, since I do not own a jack stand, I had to improvise, adapt and overcome that problem when I had to get the original bolts back in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit The only real issue with the install was the back bolt. However the directions say to have the bike upright when doing the install. Thats accurate but for me not entirely accurate. I tried it with bike resting on kick stand. The back bolt is too long to fit between the tire and the inside of fender to install in the hole. However you may be able to get away with installing the bolt in the reverse order and having the head of the bolt on the outside of fender and the nut on the inside of the fender. I had my brother come over, straddle the bike and hold it upright. The bolt still would not clear the tire and fender. So while he was straddling the bike i put my floor jack under the middle of the bike and jacked it up enough to gain clearance between the rear tire and bolt. So not a real simple install by yourself without a bike stand but very easy with a helper. Also once the bike was straddled and up on a jack i went ahead and disconnected the other shock so i could put both mounts on at the same time. No worries there at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Support Bars Ok - made the initial mistake of buying some other vendor's saddlebag supports, and decided not to use them. Ordered these from the HD website and they did not disappoint. Quality, style, fitment, and functionality were all typical of HD products. These fit my bike perfectly, included all necessary parts, and were easy to install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great product This product is easy to install and makes a huge difference in both appearance and how the bags mount. Received saddlebags from dealer with bike purchase and they were starting to show signs of wear on the backsides from shock rubbing. By adding these brackets I can definitely tell the problem will be solved. Highly recommend purchase of OEM product, we'll worth the money.

    Q & A

    Proper turn signal location

My bike came with this kit already on it. Should the turn signals be where they are shown in the picture? They're one spot closer to the shock on my bike. If this is wrong do I need to purchase additional equipment to move the signals?

Does this support kit work with Saddlemen shock cutaway saddlebags?

    Asked by: Diego
Fitments are produced based on stock configurations of the bikes. We cannot comment on fitments where Genuine Harley-Davidson Parts and Accessories have not been used (and/or other aftermarket parts have been installed). Please see your dealer or contact customer service for additional information. Thanks!

    Saddle Bag Supports 90799-94d installation

can I install this without using a stand?
    Asked by: greekgod71
If someone else can help you, you can carry out the installation of the kit using a jackstand or car jack and someone straddling the bike to keep it upright.

Can this be used with the Quick-Disconnect Docking Hardware with things like detachable sissy bars and cargo racks?

    Asked by: Lbauer53
Fitmet tab states: Does not fit with H-D® Detachables™ accessories. I think the bolt lengths are an issue.
