Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality product, watch for fitment I purchased this license plate frame for my FLSTC Heritage Softail Classic and figment was no issue. When I bought my '14 FLHTCU Ultra Classic I wanted to move the frame but the fitment was not perfect even though it is marked as such in the catalog. The problem is clearance on the top of the license plate frame (a set of ribs in the design) which do not clear the ribs on the underneath of the tour-pak frame above. While the mounted frame is 95% flush on top/bottom, I had to mount it using bolts and nuts with rubber washers on the bottom and bolts only with rubber washers on the top. This created a tight fit (although not 100% flat) on bike and license plate should not vibrate on the top even with the nuts missing. Too bad it's only off by millimeters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice looking Heavy duty chrome finish. You have to drill two holes for the top of the bracket. (Plastic) Very simple to install and looks much better than original equipment. Very satisfied with purchase!!

    Q & A

Can I get just the mounting hardware for this frame?

The bolt heads are thinner than normal bolts.
    Asked by: Sparkplug
Hi Sparkplug, Unfortunately, no, the mounting hardware is not sold separately from this kit. Thank you for your question.

    FXDC Super Gllide Custom 2012

Anybody can help explain on how to install this frame onto super glide custom. I tried to install it, but don't know how to attach the frame into the original license plate bracket.
    Asked by: hivan

I know it is chrome plated, but what is the base material?

In other words, is it chrome plated plastic?
    Asked by: ColoradoMark
Hi ColoradoMark, The Script License Plate Frame is chrome plated metal. Thank you for your question.

Mounting the Script license plate frame to 2012 Softail Deluxe

Call me stupid, but I just don't get how I'm supposed to mount this frame to my bike. If I leave the stock license plate holder on, I see where to mount the new frame to the bracket. However, the existing reflector bar is still showing and it looks like crap. If I remove the stock plate holder, I don't see how/what to mount the new frame to. Another picture or two and maybe some instructions would help. Help!
    Asked by: bomber410
If you're working with your stock license plate bracket there should be no problem. Only thing that this won't fit is a Layback License Plate kit.
