    I own a 2012 sportster 72. Does the gas tank have to be removed to install the screamin eagle plug wires? It looks like I can gently pry the plastic casing apart and remove and replace the wires. Thanks for your assistance.

    Hi Frankiegeorge, The 2012 Sportster Service Manual does state that the fuel tank should be removed when changing the spark plug cables. Thank you for your question.
