Cam Support Plate with High Volume Oil Pump is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgrade with Proven Performance I had these items installed March of 2015 inconjunction with a Stage IV Engine upgrade kit. The dealership strongly recommended the Cam Plate and Hi Volume oil pump to accompany the engine upgrade. We all know the bigger the engine the more heat is produced. Moving oil always helps with engine heating issues. So far my 2014 FLHXS has rum flawlessly to this day. I also had the High Capacity oil pan installed December of 2015. The high capacity oil pump has handled the extra 1.5 quarts without incident. My oil pressure continues to stay at 40+ at highway speeds. Oil temps continue to perform at normal levels. My stock run was 75.21 HP & 88.57 Torque. After the build my numbers were 116.71 HP & 116.40 Torque. The Cam Plate and Hi Volume Oil pump handle the extra stress of the engine without issue to this day. If you are contemplating any internal performance upgrades, this item is a must.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A "Must Have" upgrade The Twin Cam engine is as much an oil-cooled engine, as it is an air-cooled engine. Having built high-performance engines in the past, I was somewhat concerned with the relatively low oil pressure inherent in OE Twin Cam engines. If oil is the life's blood of an engine, the oil pump is the heart. My 2012 FLHTC oil pressure would drop significantly in hot weather, especially at idle. Wanting to improve reliability and longevity, at 10k miles I purchased the SE Cam Support Plate with High Volume Oil Pump. I replaced the cam plate, oil pump, cam-chain tensioners and inner cam bearings myself, in about 3 hours. While my hot oil pressure at highway speeds was previously around 30-32 psi, it's now at around 40-50psi, depending on the weather. Most importantly, my hot-idle oil pressure went from barely registering on the gauge, to around 15psi. More oil circulating through the oil cooler means cooler oil, and I can certainly tell the difference. Oil temp has dropped , engine temps have dropped, and the valve-train makes significantly less noise. If I had it to do all over again, this would be the very first modification performed on my bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade I installed new CAMs a month ago and decided to upgrade the CAM plate and oil pump based on my local dealerships advice. I did the work myself and it was extremely easy to do and increased my hot idle oil pressure from 3-5PSI to 16-20PSI and my hot driving oil pressure is 50+ depending on RPM.

    Fitment for 2014 CVO Breakout

Can you please tell me what part number is suitable for a 2014 CVO breakout and what other parts are required when installing this kit?
    Asked by: Scottylj

do i have to check pinion shaft run out what are the tollerances

    Asked by: billytwobags
I would check it if you have the tools to do so. If not, unless you have signs of unusual wear on your existing oil pump, you should be fine. The allowable tolerance depends on whether you're going to run gear-drive cams, or chain-drive. Mine had .005 inches of runout with only 10K miles on it; more than is recommended for gear-drive, but fine for chain-drive. I'm now at 40K miles with no unusual wear.
