    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sucks This clutch sucks for street riding. 2011 FXDC. No friction zone at at all. Adjusted clutch according to manual using every possible adjustment to stay within specs. Watched several youtube videos. Read many HD forums. Still can't get the clutch to grab within the first 70% of control release. The instructions in the kit have a note saying "Do not reinstall the damper spring and/or damper spring seat with this kit. Doing so will affect the stacked height of the clutch discs. Failure to comply could result in premature clutch failure and possible engine damage." I believe the stacked height is the problem. Im looking for a better replacement.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a grabber I have installed this clutch with the heavy duty spring on my Road King to stop slippage. My bike is 96hp and 106lbs tourque. It grabs and locks up well. Not a clutch I would want for busy streets and traffic, or parade. That being said, it fits my riding style and doesn't slip. It is very grabby, not a clutch that feathers in and out well.

    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Touchy As noted in the other review, this clutch does not have a large slip zone, it engages quickly! I have had it adjusted a second time which put it more towards the middle of the throw of the lever. The difference between disengaged and fully engaged is approximately 1/8 of the total travel. Feathering it is difficult, but can be done. Additionally need to be careful up or down shifting because you will dump the clutch if you’re cognizant of the quick engagement. On the positive side it is quick, crisp and solid with no feel of any slippage at all.

    Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Great I do a lot of slow riding i.e. escorts, motor rodeos and cone work. This is not the clutch for that. You dont have the large slip zone. So far In the first 1,000 miles I've adjusted the clutch twice. The five years that I had the original clutch I adjusted it once.

    Q & A

    What type of oil is recommended for this clutch pack?

    I installed this clutch pack along with the SE clutch spring. I am running the same primary oil as I was with the stock setup but on take off now there is less slippage and more "grabbing" and jerking. I thinking I may need to change to oil types for the kevlar discs for a smoother take off. Please advise.

    Do I need to install new damper spring and damper spring seat?

    In the instruction for this part, it states " Do not reinstall the damper spring and/or damper spring seat with this kit. Doing so will affect the stacked height of the clutch discs. Just so I am clear, all I have to do is install the 1st friction disc, alternating the spacers until all have been installed. Is this correct? Also, do I have to soak the discs in oil before installation? I was told that I needed to for a couple of hours, but it's not in the instructions.
