Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product I've had this AC on my 09 RG for 5 years now. I love the look and performance of this product. What would bring it to being an excellent product was if the filter elements were more generic and not specific to HD. Replacement from K&N don't seem to be available. Also if the snorkel bore was the same for the Elite so I could replace the round with the oval. One last think the bottom plate started to unglue form the bottom of the filter and had to be removed and re glued.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! I feel a huge boost of ummpphhh when I accelerate rapidly. More so than before. Looks great and many comment on it. No issues with getting dirty faster and it's easy to clean when it's time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More is Needed I love the looks! The bike was in the shop getting serviced and I called and said "add it!", what I didn't realize was that it will look a little bad unless you add the Throttle Body Cover (59.99) for fuel injected models. I also had to pay $149.95 to have it placed on the Dyno... but seriously? I have slip-ons and a heavy breather... just re-map it with the standard code? If this and the pipes along with a re-map are your only upgrades (Stage I) you will not notice much power wise but the bike will thank you. If you install it yourself and buy your own programmer you will probably be better off in the long run. But all in all I LOVE IT!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great, sounds great I really like the way heavy breather air cleaner looks on the bike. It has more intake sound that sounds great when you are on the throttle. I installed the heavy breather myself with out any issues. It's a straight forward install. If you can change your own oil and read instructions, you can install the heavy breather air cleaner. The chrome trim ring on the back of the filter element is held on with some double sidded tape which is a little hokey, but it still works fine. All in all its a good piece that looks great and sounds great.

    Q & A

is it normal to hear the vlave noise at idle ,mine does

    Asked by: hafta

Could I ride with the external sock on a Heavy breather filter whatever the weather?

I have a Heavy breather air filter (conical shape) on my Harley Davidson. (Street glide special 2015, stage 1) This filter is equiped of a filter wrap. (sock) I heard that this component has to be used only when it rains to avoid to the water to go inside . It couldn't be recommended when the weather is dry and hot. The reason could be that the filter wrap reduces the air enter and increases the engine's temperature and decreases engine performance. Is it true or false? Could you tell me if I can keep it everytime (whatever the weather and the external temperature) on my motobike or not? Thanks in advance for your feedback and advice. Best regards
