    Description

    A A A

Camshafts are a fundamental ingredient in the performance recipe, because they control the timing and duration of all major engine events. They are the primary means by which you can tune your engine’s horsepower and torque output. Every cam has unique lift and overlap performance characteristics, which means you need to select cams based on exactly the kind of power you’re looking for.

    • The ultimate in torque cams, this cam offers substantial increase in low-end torque for engines up to 110 cubic inches with compression ratios up to 10 to 1
    • Low-end torque increases are great for heavy bikes or for the person who routinely shifts below 4500 rpm and wants the power available to pass without downshifting
    • Cam still makes peak power above 5000 rpm so people with lighter bikes will enjoy the torque increases without feeling like the bike runs out of air at higher engine speeds
    • Kit includes front and rear cams
    • Splined rear cam is included for exceptional load handling capability
    • Gaskets and bearings not included
    • Dealer installation is recommended and special tools are required for proper installation
    • All EFI models require ECM calibration

    Performance Cams - SE-255 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Incredible Torque but Not Much Power This cam has incredible torque from down low. It is excellent for people who plan a lot of Two-up riding. But the torque curve is very FLAT. So you won't feel a lot of power under acceleration because the torque does not Build Up and get stronger ... it just stays the same as the rpm's increase. Harley has come out with a newer cam that they recommend with higher compression pistons that gives a little more increase in torque as the rpm's rise.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cam fails Cam comes stock in cvo 110 motor. Has a high failure rate. Always same way front cylinder exhaust lobe. Had 3 fail in my 2011 cvo, and my 2015 cvo failed at 25000. Harley will not stand behind this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Torque City I ride a 2013 Street Glide with stage one air flow, the Harley performance tuner and V&H Twin Slash Slip-on mufflers. I had this cam installed with the billet cam support plate, which includes a high volume oil pump. The Dynojet reported the following measurements; increased my torgue 18.1% to 109.21 and my HP 16.6% to 88.01. The throttling is excellent in all gears. I could actually hear the difference as I walked up to the bike, at dealer pickup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW!!!! I installed these on my 2013 Wide Glide and wow they made a huge difference. The bike will pull at any RPM and in any gear. I can hear the difference in the tone of the exhaust and it is louder now too. The big difference is when I roll on the throttle and feel all that torque screaming out of the bike. To do this yourself you will have to buy a blind bearing puller, installer, camshaft chain holder, a couple different torque wrenches, the inner cam bearings, a new gasket, magnetic lifter holders, the sprocket bolts and spacers, and depending on what you do with the pushrods you may need more stuff or you can just cut the pushrods and install adjustable ones. I just used loktite on the adjusting nut to keep it from vibrating loose and it works just find. I hope this review helps you.

    Q & A

Does installation of this cam in a '17 FXDL 103 HO necessitate changing the valve springs to accomodate the increased valve lift?

    Asked by: Dennis47

will these cams fit into a 2006 flhxi street glide twin cam 88?

    Asked by: Chris84
No, it will not fit your bike. 2009 is the earliest bike it works with.

According to HD's website, the se255 cam will not fit my 103 2014 Heritage Classic. Is this true?

If the 255, which I prefer to use, won't work in my bike, which SE cam will? HD's site says that this cam will only work in a 2014 Low Rider.
    Asked by: 1BlueI
Stated my comment incorrectly. While the 255 fits other models for other years, under 2014 fitment, the only HD bike listed that this cam will work in is a Low Rider.

What is the part number for the inner timing chain?

I was taught to build race engines by a infamous retired NASCAR mechanic. A used chain on new sprockets isn't a good idea. I think the inner chain should be recommended with a new set of cams.
    Asked by: Toofast
Hello Toofast, The Part number for the secondary cam drive chain on a 2013 FLHTK is PN 25683-06. This item will need to be ordered from your local dealer since it is an OEM part. Thank you!
