There is no warranty on exhaust pipes and mufflers with regard to any discoloration. Blueing is caused by tuning characteristics, cam timing, carburetor jetting, over-heating, etc. and is not caused by defective manufacturing.

Shotgun Muffler Heat Shield is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice touch Great product just to add a bit of style to the exhaust system

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Much better than the black FXSB heat shields I bought these because I wasn't crazy about the stock heat shields that came with my Breakout. The black ones looked okay but not my style. No heat shields looked unfinished and my boots constantly left burn marks on my mufflers which bugged the hell out of me! These look much better in my opinion. This is how the exhaust should have looked out of the factory. Hopefully soon I can put more Screamin Eagle parts to justify the badging...

      Q & A

Will these heat shields replace the stock heat shields on a 2013 Softail Deluxe?

I was a dummy and didn't remove the heat shields when I removed my bags to clean my rear end and I scratched, dented my lower heat shield while reinstalling the bags.....

I have the SE II slip on mufflers. I was wondering if the shotgun muffler heat shield work with the SE II's as well as the regular SE's?

I see the heat shields only say Screaming Eagle....Not Screaming Eagle II......Just want to make sure it fits, as well as completely covers up the writing on the muffler to where half of the letters arent showing through underneath the heat shield.
      Asked by: Srmedina26
Hello Srmedina26, Unfortunately, we do not know if it will cover up the writing on your mufflers completely. The best option would be to check at your local dealer to see if they have a bike with these muffler shields on or if they have a set in stock and take some measurements to compare to your exhaust. Thank you!
