    Q & A

    Length of linkage

I have a need of an extended length shift linkage for my 2013 XL1200C. I know that this is not intended for that bike. But, I am looking for a longer linkage than is standard on the XL1200C. What is the length of this linkage (as measured from the center of the bolt holes)?

Is it ok to bolt the slotted bar shift linkage to the outside of the forward shifter arm on a 2012 wide glide?

    Asked by: Sg2012
Hey Sg2012, The I Sheet states that the rod end should be placed on the inside of the shifter lever for a '12 FXDWG model. As placing it outside the shifter lever has not been tested and validate, we can't recommend that you stray away from the install instructions that have been given.
