Sun Shield for FXRG Helmet is rated

The spikes/fork tend to snap off
I have two of the HD-M1V helmets and everything about the helmet is as advertised. I like them and will continue to use them. The only drawback is the inner sun Shield has two little spikes/fork that stick out of the top of it to hold the shield into the operating mechanism. These little parts break. It's one of those, it's not if it's going to break, it's when. I now have three spare sun shields that I have repaired in a way they don't break anywhere near to the way they did as an OEM part. (I haven't broken any since my repair) They're $35 a pop so when the second one broke I had to come up with a way to repair it and keep it that way. I did it with a blank piece of plastic and I carved it into the correct shape of the forks/spikes with the proper height and spacing and glued it into the correct position using fiberglass resin. If you're handy, no problem, if not you'll be looking for someone who is.
