Tapered Short Stem Mirror - Right Side is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean swap out Bought the black satin mirrors, left and right, to replace the chrome ones. I'm currently dechroming my 2005 XL1200R. Arrived in perfect condition and the swap out was uneventful. These mirrors come with an elongated chrome bullet nut which I did not use. Why supply a chromed nut for black mirrors? Anyway, I used the nylon lock nuts from the mirrors I replaced and painted them black to match the mirrors. Much less gaudy in my opinion. The mirrors have a great look and finish and the glass is slightly convex for a greater view. I'm very happy with the look of the mirrors and the sight lines they provide.

        Q & A

Black mirror, chrome nut - why?

If one is going black, shouldn't the nut be black too?
