Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Looks great and fit perfect on my softail.. I would recommend these tie-down brackets. read instructions as the windshield grommets are meant to be mounted on the inside and the tie-down brackets are to be on the outside..

    Q & A

    Should inside washers be reinstalled?

Should I reinstall the inside washers on a 2016 FLSTC for proper windshield grommet spacing? The installation instructions do not specify regarding inner and outer washers.

does the signal light wiring have to be disconnected to install brackets on my 2013 Street Glide. If so, does fairing need removed?

What's the correct torque specs when installing these?

Installing on 2012 FLHTCU ~Taken from the instruction sheet... Install the auxiliary lighting bracket and tie down bracket. Tighten the screws to 3.95–5.08 N·m (35–45 in.lb.). Stock bolt spec is 15-20 ft-lbs. Can't imagine when adding these ties downs (with the added stress of the tie down straps) that these would be tightened to only 35-45 in-lbs?
    Asked by: lefty33
I am not sure the stock bolts were ever that tight, i put them on my 2016 heritage and only tighten them down to the in/pound setting and they seem fine but i havent trailered mine yet, the directions on alot of these parts have errors in them and maybe the foot pound should have been inch pounds, They do tighten down on rubber bushings and foot pounds would just crush the bushings.

2002 RKC here. Figure and instructions seem wrong. Did you know? Bushing goes between nacelle and aux parking light bracket. Checked my SM too.
