PremiumTouring Luggage System is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 4 Day Trip Thru NC, VA, MD, PA, & WV! At 1st, I was concerned the Tour bag wasn't going to be stable enough on my detachable rack & back rest, it worked just fine. Fully loaded with clothes & such weighed just under 25 lbs. (Recommended max weight). It wasn't top heavy, another concern. The Day bag weighed 10 lbs. (Max weight for the rack). I did add 2 bungee cords crossed from top of the Tour Bag to the rack, as an after thought just incase, but didn't really need it. It rained on our trip & the rain covers worked fine, even covering the added backrest pad I attached to the Tour bag. You should get the Rider Backrest Pad accessory, it works great & supports your back while riding. I used a 15" square cargo net to secure my extra helmet to the back of the Tour bag. A friend has another make tour bag that opens the entire side of his Tour bag for easy access, that would be a nicety if H-D's Tour bag did this. I didn't need to expand the 2 sides of the Tour bag, but it was there if I needed to & makes a nice option. Both bags have a zippered net pocket on the underside of the flap openings large enough for the maps I had, my phone & other odds & ends. There are many "D" rings (Large & small) on the bags so you can attach all kinds of things if you want. The only thing that took me a little bit to experiment on was, which was the best way to secure both bag latches (2 each) to the back rest & rack. I am really happy with the results of the Tour & Day bag setup while on my trip and would recommend them if your a single rider. If you wanted a little more room, you could replace the Day bag with the Overnight bag. I am thinking about getting the Overnight bag as an additional option for future trips. I used the Premium Touring Luggage System on my 2015 FLSTF Fat Boy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Now I can pack better My Heritage has side bags, sure. And, bungee a backpack to the backrest of the 2 up is ok. The Premium Luggage Collection makes the backpack feel primitive. Love the look and functionality. Large amount of space in both bags. The D Ring connection are more secure than others state. The large bag will be perfect for carrying and storing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but with Caveats I have had this system (both bags) for about 6-7 years now. They have met most of my needs, but I want to pass along some things you might not consider when initially buying them. First, neither bag is watertight, but has a rain cover with a sewn in closure string and slide fitting that is tethered in the left side pocket. In the event of exposure to rain or other moisture, the cover must be pulled completely over the bag and the closure string pulled quite tight to prevent the wind from lifting the cover off of the bag. The leftover string will also need to be tied off to prevent it from getting caught in the wheel. This essentially precludes tying anything to the outside of the bag such as a spare helmet or whatever if bad weather conditions may be expected. Second, I have a smaller width luggage rack and soon, both bags started to sag around the rack, particularly the larger bag. I bought a 18" nylon cutting board to mount under the bag and put two slots in it so the tiedown straps of the bag also prevent movement of the board. This not only fixed the sag problem, but helps the rain cover stay in place much better and also keeps water from splashing up on the bottom of the bag from the wheel! Third, I have never found the interlocked D-ring mounting method for putting both bags on together to be reliable. I recommend installing carabiners or similar blocks on them to prevent disengagement. This arrangement also prevents use of each bag's rain cover, so you'll have to find something else to cover both bags in inclement weather.

    Rider Backrest

Will the bag fit facing forward with the adjustable rider backrest?
    Asked by: StreetGlideNick
Hey StreetGlideNick, Without knowing which seat you have on your FLHX, it's kinda hard to say, but what I can tell you is the Day Bag is about 9.6" wide. Hope this helps you out! Rockstar883

    Are these bags stack-able?

Other bags from other manufacturers are stack-able. Can you bungee net the day bag to the top of the touring bag? Is the compact day bag that comes with this set the same bag you sell separately called the premium day bag?
    Asked by: LD13
Hello LD13, You should be able to strap the Day Bag on top of the Touring Bag if needed. Please make sure you secure it properly with PN 93300015. Also, the Day bag in the kit is the same bag as the Premium Day bag. Thank You!
