Trenton Mesh Riding Jacket is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 42.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket, Finicky Zipper As I ride in Southern California, I use this not just for warm weather riding, but basically all year riding. Since the jacket is basically just mesh, it's not gonna do anything in the way of keeping you warm, but it definitely keeps the sun off you on a warm day, and you can still wear a t-shirt underneath and the flow of air keeps you cool. On colder days, just throw on a couple extra layers on underneath and you're good to go. It's a great looking jacket and is also reflective at night. And remember, those pockets in the shoulder and elbow are there for a reason... Buy the armor, it's silly not to! Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the zipper easily gets stuck, and is a pain to get unstuck. Be very gentle when zipping up the jacket; if you have to use any force at all to zip up the jacket, unlatch the zipper and try again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great weather jacket I am very glad I purchased this mesh riding jacket for warm weather riding. Very good airflow while riding so as not to get over heated. I also purchased the armor inserts from my local Harley dealer for the added protection in the jacket. It isn't even too bad with cooler weather. I have been able to comfortably wear a long sleeve shirt under this jacket and have been plenty warm riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trenton Mesh Riding Jacket Great jacket for high temp. days. Little heavier than I expected, but breathes great!!! U can see straight though it... Like a fine mesh fish net. Very beathable on the hot days. Fitment and colors r great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mesh Will NOT Protect You From the Road! I hate give this jacket a poor review because I absolutely loved it. It was fantastic in the hot weather and had the available armor for extra protection. Unfortunately about a month after I bought this jacket, I wrecked while wearing it. I was only doing about 35 mph and my primary impact point was my outer forearm below the elbow. I hit the asphalt on my arm and my body immediately started to roll. The mesh on the arm shredded like it wasn't even there and I got some pretty bad road rash on my arm. Thankfully I started rolling or the road rash would have been severe. I had on leather chaps and you wouldn't be able to tell I had even hit the road in them. Like I mentioned I loved this jacket, but if you are going to ride and want protection, nothing but leather will do. Skip the mesh and buy a good vented leather jacket.

    Q & A

    Where is this jacket made?

Since Harley Davidson prides itself on being an American company, I wanted to know where this jacket, named for a city we from NJ are very proud of, is made.

    Abrasion resistance

Is this jacket abrasion resistant - won't the mesh tear upon contact with asphalt thus making the armour pretty much useless?

    Back Armor?

I know it has pockets for shoulder and arm pads, but is it compatible with the back armor?
    Asked by: ReReDRock
No, and I believe that is by design. It would cut down on the flow through ventilation as the jacket is designed to be worn during slightly warmer rides and at night when the temperatures can drop. It is very comfortable during these rides.

How does one get a back pad in these?

I want some form of back protection on this one. Is this possible?
    Asked by: DarthJBell
I do not believe there is a way to get back protection in it. There is not a pocket on the back to hold armor.

I am looking for a jacket to be used in summer (warm temperatures).

For use with summer temperatures, we recommend this model or: 98112-16VM Thanks

trenton mesh is almost like not wearing a jacket when not riding, and when riding you get an airflow through it that will cool you down, but it is also a technical riding jacket with some protection.
